Exit Slip

The overall task of this PBAT is to minimize the Surface Area while maintaining the volume of the content. By doing this we have to determine our radius, and find surface area. Also substitute radius and volume in order to find the height. The purpose is using a can that is shaped like a cylinder and the two models that the company requires.

Exit Slip

The most important concept of the lesson was to learn how to find the height and be able explain our tables ad graphs because when we present our PBATS this is very important and to show that we showed our understanding of each step we did...The mathematical tool that I used today is the calculator and it is very important because it helped me determine my calculations..it made my job easier because I didn't have to do it by hand...

Exit Slip

We helped each other by going over out review sheets and the notes Wan had provided us with. If one of us missed a step my other group member would help me out. Today I was able to find the volume and surface area of my can and I was also able to record my data on google docs so when I later present my project I can always go back and look at my data. The skills that I learned were how to use the equation tool on google docs in order to record math data in the right way. I also used the skill of finding volume of a cylinder and surface area of a cylinder. I can use this skill outside of school by measuring the height for surface area and measuring diameter for the volume to try and figure out if the can is filled up or did they use a size enough can.

Exit Slip Lesson 4

-The curvature of y1 is wider compared to y2, and y2 is narrower.

-Y1 is vertically shifted up compared to y2, which is shifted down.

-It is not shifted horizontally

Exit Slip Lesson 3

By comparing and contrasting two functions you look for what they have in common and try to figure out why they are different. Also you use the categories section which you list the two functions after you have created your functions and graphed them on google docs. Also you compare or contrast the highest degree. Also it should be kind of easy because the two functions graphed look very similar but are flipped.

Exit Slip 4/9

One major idea that I learned is how to create an table and graph on a spreadsheet.

One major problem I had was remembering what to put on the y-axis in order to drag it down to receive the answers. Next time I will surely remember what to do in order to do this correctly by myself.
